 Dr. Chariton completed his undergraduate studies at Brandeis University, where he graduated in 1984 with a Biochemistry degree. After his undergraduate studies, he studied podiatric medicine and surgery at the NY School of Podiatry and completed his residency there in 1989. Following his residency, Dr. Chariton opened his private practice of podiatry in Randolph, Massachusetts, while he also worked at Mass General Hospital, and in 1999 he became a member of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and recertified in 2009 and 2019. He maintains his private practice for 30 years and has an office at Milton BID Hospital. The Doctor has lectured and worked at the hospital’s annual diabetic fair for over 10 years. Dr. Chariton is an Atlas certified Hyprocure surgeon (highest level of expertise), which allows him to perform the Hyprocure procedure to re-stabilize patients’ flexible ankles and flat feet. The Hyprocure procedure, a soft tissue operation with a short recovery period, can help to improve or correct many ankle and foot pathologies, such as bunion development due to hyper pronation. Dr. Chariton has performed over 1000 of the Hyprocure surgeries, contributed to a Hyprocure study published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and is currently involved in a second research study for the Hyprocure procedure. While at Brandeis, Dr. Chariton was a member of the 1983 national champion cross country team, which the school inducted into the Brandeis sports hall of fame in 2008. After finishing his college running career, Dr. Chariton completed 15 Marathons, four of which he ran in Boston. Today, Dr. Chariton continues his athletic lifestyle through coaching youth basketball and playing basketball recreationally; additionally, he is a proud father of three children.
